Hello my favorite High Council members and future Drug Policy Reformers,
This is taken from the original email sent out on the THC listserv. I want to include it here to restate the purpose of this role in our efforts to reform drug policy on our campus.
If you are reading this, it is because you are awesome. This is just to let you all know that to ease the pain of the transition period between terms, I have created a gmail account (jointforcesliaison@gmail.com) to assist new officers in their executive duties. If you would like to have access to this account and perform its responsibilities, please let me know and I will give you the required log-in information. This said, the general body has not been notified of this new resource, which is all well-and-good since we have not defined an exact procedure for having a collective account. To all who are interested, here's my proposal for it:- Officers will be provided with this email address upon the confirmation that they won the position they ran for.
- Individuals who have access to this account are not currently serving as officers and have prior experience performing the administrative duties of an SGA group.
- When replying to any question or comment, the liaison email account will be CCd each time to make sure that all users can know what remains to be done and to avoid repetition. This will be most hopeful if you link the liason email to your most often used email account so all messages are forwarded to you, rather than having to check the liaison's account daily.Ideally, we won't have too many people on this at once, but per Michelle's subtle advice, I should not appoint myself as the sole liaison. We thought that the creation of this account would create a more "formal" way to contend with issues. It will also bring new(er) officers closer to our lovely tenured members. We'll officially get some glorious continuity on the THC listserv. Let me know what yall think.
The purpose of this blog, however, is to keep an ongoing record of subjects dealt with by officers that can be used as a reference for future officers for the purposes of efficiency and to avoid repeating the topic.
